PERSONAL BLOG
Hello
my name is Karen and today I want to tell us a personal experience that change
all of my style, and bring me new opportunities to have a better life with my
family.
Last holiday I visited my grandfather who told me about my family's move and how it affected us in many ways, when I was little I lived in a rural area, it was quite far from the city so I didn't have many comforts, but we never lacked anything, my parents decided that moving to the city would be a better option since we would have a better education and better opportunities, but we didn't know the damage this would cause, when we left my uncles and grandparents stayed in the countryside, for this we came to the city. the biggest problem was that my parents did not find work easily and we had no economic stability for a long time, my brother and I were very small but it affected us to see our parents so stressed and worried about everything that happened in the house, meanwhile my grandmother was very sick and got worse. When we returned to our old house, Grandma was better and everything was fine.
On
the other hand, arriving in the city brought us some benefits such as access to
better education, access to hospitals, which we did not have in the countryside
because we were outside the urban area. In my opinion it is a better
opportunity to grow as a person because this way we have the opportunity to be
more competitive professionally speaking, on the other hand our lifestyle has
changed radically, Our dawn started at 4 am to go to see the farm animals, we
started with the cows which were taken out to eat grass, then we continued with
the chickens which we cleaned the corral and took the eggs. At 7am we all met
in the kitchen to have breakfast that my mom prepared with my grandmother, then
my brother and I got ready to go to school which was a few hours away, we had
classes until 1:30 pm, we left the school to finish helping with things around
the house. now in the city everything is different, the school is 15 minutes
away from home, we start class at 8 am and it ends at 1:30 am. it is a more
flexible schedule that allows us to do more things and we have the time to
practice sports and take extra courses, life is quite different, it was
difficult the first day since I didn't know anyone but little by little I got
used to the city life.
In conclusion, we must be understanding and empathetic with people who are settling down from scratch because we do not know how complicated it can be and the problems for which they had to leave everything behind and leave their home.
