In these
times I have noticed that people migrate, many times to other countries,
cities. However, one that is not normally talked about is moving from a rural
area to an urban area, it sounds relatively easy to do this, however, it takes
many things with it. A long time ago when I was a little girl, my family and I
had to move from a beautiful place such as the countryside, this given that the
living conditions in that place had become complicated, we used to obtain
several of our own food, but unfortunately the climate was not suitable for the
plantations. At the same time, the sale of these foods was an important
livelihood for my family, so over time this got worse economically. It was
becoming more and more difficult to bring money home and to be able to return
to our normal life.
One of the
questions that many people have is that if the lifestyle changes when we move
from the country to the city, in my case the change was not dramatic, since I
basically grew up in the city, so I did not feel a sudden change in my life, my
grandfather has told me that his life changed drastically since now his work
was even more arduous than in the field, since to have a good quality of life
it is necessary to earn more money than we spend, Food and housing were even
more expensive than in the fields, so they thought they would have to go back
to the fields, but my family tried even harder because with the passage of time
the field work would be more complicated.
For this we
had to define if the change that took place in this period would be good or
bad, in this aspect there are two options, since at the time some examples of
things that benefited my family were positively and negatively affected; Having
basic services close and accessible to anyone such as hospitals, schools, among
others, also one of the most notorious was the job opportunities they obtained,
since when they arrived in the city their chances of getting a job were much
higher than in the field, The disadvantages that my family suffered from this
change was that they had to adapt to a new way of life since groceries were
even more expensive than in the countryside, so they had to work even more
until they could adapt to the rhythm of the city. They also suffered from the
lack of tranquility that arises in the city since people are very active from
early in the morning until late at night.
In conclusion, people who wish to migrate from a rural area to an urban area, should carefully review the pros and cons of this decision since this entails several things that can directly affect a lifestyle, make the best decision to have a life fully envisioning the future in various aspects. Both places have their advantages and disadvantages, so people should do what suits them best.
